Sales Representative (Solae - Specialty Business CIS)
Food Ingredients Segment
Job Duties & Accountabilities
Duty: MARKET DEVELOPMENT
Business Development: Devise strategies to develop business in CIS, ie. Generate new customers and position contractual agreements to develop long-term business relationship.
Duty: PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Ensure that the required information is entered in Vision database system to enable an efficient and timely project follow up and delivery (Project initiation, definition and closure, conversion to sales). Maintain effective communication with Supervisor, Project Team, ie. Applied Technology Managers and Marketing. Review deliverables and timeline on a regular basis to ensure that focus is maintained and aligned with overall strategy.
Duty: NEGOTIATIONS
- Pricing: Position & negotiate pricing by ensuring customers understand added value offering in order to maximize benefits. Build trust by establishing a good customer/supplier relationship.
- Contracts: Negotiate contracts (such as joint development -, confidentiality-, Supply agreements) to protect our intellectual property and secure long-term business. Maintain fully compliance with business conduct, internal approval processes and required documentation.
Duty: COMMUNICATIONS & RECORD MAINTENANCE
- Internal: Communicate customer activities and industry/market updates using the tools in place (Vision, Prospect/Project reviews, Regular Sales Reviews, etc.) to the segment team (Peers, Leaders, ATM, Marketing) regional or interregional (when required).
- External: Reinforce “The Solae Company “messages at the customer by educating, presenting studies, market surveys to all key contacts (Buying Influences BI’s).
- Understand and adhere to Solae Core Values.
Duty: MANAGEMENT OPERATING SYSTEM
- Internal: Implement Management process requirements (Vision, DIBM, eg. Forecasting, Budgeting)
Requirements:
- University Degree – chemical area, food chemical area, etc.
- Minimum 4-5 years of business experience - min 2-3 of which will be in a direct selling role (Food Ingredients Segment)
- Experience of working within chemical or food ingredients area minimum 2 years
- Excellent knowledge of Food Industry – preferably the Food Ingredients Segment.
- Readiness for travelling
