Digital Marketing Manager for Technical Audience (outstaffing contract)
JOB PURPOSE:
The person is responsible for driving awareness and Technical audience excitement around MS products/technical resources through social media and digital marketing. As a part of this role, this person will capture insights regarding current channels and new trends in social media and digital marketing. Marketing Manager will leverage this important information to drive reach and change perception thru mutually beneficial conversations with IT Pros and Developers.
Overall Social and Digital Media Strategy: Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with Digital Marketing Lead (CMG), DPE Marketing and Technical Audience teams to develop Microsoft’s overall digital marketing and social media strategy for all resources/channels oriented on technical audience in Russia.This will include helping to develop a resource and budget plan that is prioritized across social network engagement, alternative marketing, and influencers engagement.
Owning and Maintaining Communities Through Major Social Channels. As the owner for all social media channels in Russia, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning and maintaining Microsoft’s presence on the most important Russian and international social networking sites. For example, key sites will include: Vkontakte.ru, Moikrug.yandex.ru, livejournal, Twitter.com, youtube.com, rutube.ru, and habrahabr.ru. Also Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning, maintaining and developing new and existing MScom resources: TechDays.ru and ITquiz.ru. Initially, the person will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing key channels that Microsoft should work with. Then for each channel, this person will be responsible for:
- Driving the Overall Content plan: Identify what content Microsoft will use for Status updates, messages, photos, and videos posts.
- Identifying Resource Requirements: monitor wall posts and engage in conversation with the fans. This person will also be responsible for preparing the overall budget plan with which Microsoft will engage across a variety of social media.
- Managing Social Media Campaign Execution:Analyze and communicate the results of ongoing campaigns. Supervise and monitor vendor execution to ensure that campaigns are delivered within time and budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
Marketing experience:
- Digital Marketing / Audience marketing experience
- Running full scope projects/programs for
- Internet Portals
- Communities
- … all on large scale
- Blogging experience
- Has his/her own blog (ideally on technology topics)
- Online experience:
- Deep knowledge of social networks, twitter
- Deep knowledge of social media landscape
- Passion for technology
- Very good understanding of IT, not necessarily specialized
- Customer & Partner experience
- Running projects/programs targeted on customer/partner satisfaction
- At least 3 years in audience or online marketing
- Strong PM skills
