- Commercial & operational due diligence on M&A targets for leading (inter)national corporates and Private Equity firms
- Market entry assessment and market entry support (including buy or build strategy)
- Synergy evaluation and realisation
- Business planning
- Strategy review and development
- Portfolio assessment
Job role and description:
- In-depth analysis of markets (and segments), product, volume and price developments, key drivers and trends, critical success factors, competitive environment, technological change, via desk research, interviews with key industry participants and proprietary PwC industry knowledge
- Understanding of client or targets current and future position through analysis of its competences and product/service offering versus industry best practises, its competitive position and its cost base
- Analysis of the ability of the client/target to execute its growth path with a focus on its supply chain and manufacturing capabilities and recommending improvements / investments where required
- Evaluating market entry strategies, or business improvement solutions to improve the client or targets position, revenue and profitability
- Reporting of the findings to the client (via powerpoint presentation and client meetings)
- Participation in business development initiatives
- Education and experience:
- Strong academics: 4th,5th year student of university, preferably economics or science, high marks, top 10% of peer group
- Research skills
- Excellent analytical skills - demonstrating evidence of being highly numerate
- Fluent in Russian and English (research will mostly be conducted in Russian, reporting in English) Understanding of accounting and financial modelling is an advantage
