Essential Responsibilities
Day-to-day operations support of 1c financial application across the CIS region (Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine)
- Manage user access (user ID management, client installations, remote access installations)
- Develop and maintain quality System Administration documents/checklists as well as training material.
- Assist in the implementation of new security initiatives.
- Work with GE teams and external vendors to triage, troubleshoot, and debug application issues (e.g., performance, errors, connectivity, etc).
- Complete detailed root cause analysis of outages and help to ensure highest availability of the production applications.
- Analyze and apply 1c Application patches and Stat & Tax Updates.
- Design and develop change control processes, and ensure changes follow controls.
- Provide on going capacity analysis and planning to determine future projections of hardware requirements and/or configuration changes.
- Plan, coordinate and communicate work with other teams for system maintenance.
Partner with functional and IT teams throughout the execution of 1c of minor and major 1c projects
- Follow closely the planned 1c 7.7 to 8.1 upgrade project through all project phases (functional specification, technical design, build, testing and production cutover)
- Ensure vendor delivers with highest quality standards
- Ensure proper and up to date system documentation is available
- Analyze synergies of the 1c implementations and propose plans to simplify hosting and database, share code / configuration across the region
- Ad-hoc translations between Russian and English may be required (both written and oral)
Essential qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
- 5 years hands-on System Administrator experience with 1c Enterprise - Corporate Financial Management application administration and configuration
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting/debugging skills
- Fluent English and Russian, both oral and written
Desired characteristics
- Experience with 1c 7.7 to 8.x upgrades
- Demonstrated knowledge of both 1c 7.7 and 8.1 versions
- Experience with one or more localizations of 1c: Ukrainian, Azeri or Kazakh
- Experience with 1c Payroll and Warehouse modules
- Experience with multinational companies using both Russian and US GAAP accounting
- Team player, working in a geographically distributed organization
- Understanding general account principles is plus
