Roke Technologies Ltd. was founded in 1967 by a group of oilfield design engineers. Originally focused in the mining sector, Roke engineers found unacceptable levels of measurement error while using conventional logging tools. In 1972, Roke began a 10 year long R&D process to develop a more accurate porosity measurement device. In 1982 the prototype Quad Neutron™ was launched with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
