Role of Summary
The Sales Training Specialist is responsible for planning and delivering practical training programs to enhance the performance of field sales staff, including DRs, TSMs, and Supervisors.
This role focuses on developing and executing training programs tailored to KT&G’s product knowledge, sales strategies, retail execution, and CRM system usage. The Specialist plays a key role in bridging strategy with frontline implementation by providing direct coaching and real-time feedback.
Key Responsibilities
■ Training Program Design & Execution:
- Design and operate onboarding training programs for new DRs and TSMs
- Assist with capability and leadership development programs for mid-level managers (Supervisors, RMs)
- Regularly update sales training materials including product, channel, and sales skill modules
- Develop customized training content for KA/WS and Sub-dealer channels
■ Field-Based Coaching:
- Conduct on-the-job training (OJT) and field accompaniment for trainees and active sales staff
- Implement pre-/post-training assessments and performance feedback sessions
- Customize training approaches by reflecting territory-specific needs and local issues
■ Training Operation & Systemization:
- Manage the monthly training calendar and execution plan
- Monitor attendance and completion records of all training sessions
- Utilize internal tools (e.g., LMS, Google Drive, Telegram) to distribute materials and gather feedback
■ Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with Field Managers and Sales Support teams to plan training based on real-time field issues
- Liaise with CRM and KA/WS teams to align training content with system and channel operations
- Localize head office training content and ensure accurate delivery to field teams
- Experience in sales training within the FMCG industry
(especially Cigarette industry)
- Ability to travel and support training across various regions
- Flexibility to adjust content and format based on real-time needs
- Strong communicator who can clearly translate head office policies to the field
