Head of Procurement Department

Korzinka, Uzbekistan’s leading food retail chain, is looking for a Head of Procurement Department to lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management across all food categories.

What you will do:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans;
• Translate business needs into effective sourcing plans;
• Build and maintain partnerships with suppliers, negotiate best terms, and monitor performance;
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits;
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability;
• Implement cost-optimization initiatives while ensuring consistent product quality;
• Track market trends and adjust pricing strategies;
• Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocks;
• Collaborate with operations and distribution teams to streamline processes;
• Negotiate, draft, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and timely execution;
• Work closely with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure products meet regulatory standards and food safety guidelines;
• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement;
• Monitor procurement KPIs, analyze deviations, and present reports with recommendations to management.

What we expect:

• Higher education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred);

• 7+ years of procurement and supply chain experience, preferably in food retail;

• Proven track record in negotiations, vendor management, and cost optimization;

• Experience managing teams and implementing process improvements;

• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills;

• Excellent communication skills, fluent Russian and English (Uzbek is a plus);

• Solid understanding of quality assurance and food safety standards;

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
