Primary objective of the position

The Transfusion Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales efforts for Transfusion solutions and optimizing Abbott systems utilization to maximize profitability and improve customer satisfaction.

Major accountabilities:

  • Full responsibility for sales quota including forecasting and target performance achievement within the region
  • Drive profitable growth by initiating, developing and/or delivering unique transfusion solutions that result in improved outcomes and benefits for both the customer and Abbott
  • Develop sales planning for own area of responsibility
  • Analyze sales, market and competitive data to develop sales strategy
  • Analyze impact of market trends and factors on customers
  • Support new product launches, evaluate market potential
  • Execute programs and campaigns for defined Transfusion customers
  • Monitor, measure and report progress against defined execution goals
  • Build sustainable customer relationships and leverage them to drive profitable new sales
  • Optimize Abbott systems utilization to maximize profitability and improve customer satisfaction
  • Support service team to maximize uptime by providing troubleshooting as appropriate
  • Success in this role is measured by economic profitability, sales quota, contract renewal rate, win rate of new customers, and customer satisfaction score (NPS)

Educational background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree in medical, life sciences or medical technology is preferred

Requirements / Work experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years track record in the diagnostic industry with an emphasis on Sales and/or Marketing
  • Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references
  • Good transfusion product and industry knowledge
  • Deep level functional expertise
  • Strong commercial experience, commercially driven
  • Collaborative enterprise thinking
  • Strong solution selling and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop and champion new ideas and approaches
  • Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
  • English advanced, additional languages are advantageous.
