Graphic Communication Leader
Purpose of the job:
As Graphic Communication Leader you will contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishings in your primary market area (PMA) in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability. You will be responsible for ensuring the graphic communication inside and outside the IKEA store is in line with the IKEA identity. You will also visualise the uniqueness of IKEA to distance us from the competition and use your deep knowledge of people’s life at home in your local market and consumer buying behaviour to create and implement graphic communication that:
•Communicates the IKEA Concept, our Swedish roots and unique services
•Strengthens the mechanical sales system, which enables customers to buy more easily
•Supports sales steering to commercial priorities.
You will secure quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of your work by using global tools and best practises.
•Create, produce and establish store communication using specialist skills in graphic design, art work and copywriting.
•Ensure all graphic communication supports the IKEA identity and current corporate branding strategy.
•Work closely with the 1st Visual Merchandiser and 1st Interior Designer in the store to determine how product features and functional and inspirational solutions shall be communicated, in line with the Commercial Calendar.
•Influence and coordinate the production and implementation of graphic solutions partnering with internal and external resources to complete work briefs
•Partner with sales, logistics, support areas to address graphic communication issues and support Business Plan priorities.
•Ensure cost effective, safe and environmentally friendly solutions and working methods
•Create an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers
•Work closely with your team: hire, adapt and develop graphic designers, split tasks between them.
•Graphics experience as leader (more than 1 year)
•Highly developed graphic design skills
•Ability to lead, inspire and educate
•Strong interest in and knowledge of home furnishing
•Ability to work creatively, strategically and operationally
•Fluent English (intermediate level)
