As IT Technician you will be responsible for supporting all end users with 1st and 2nd level incidents to restore a failed IT service as fast as possible. You will monitor the status of outstanding incidents and ensure these are brought to a satisfactory documented close or escalated to 3rd level support if the incident cannot be closed at 1st or 2nd level. You will be based out of Moscow in our Corporate team, will support end users across our Business Units throughout Russia and the CIS and will be expected to have some travel to these locations where network server administration may be required. This role will suit a recent graduate who is looking to develop their skills and experience within an IT support function and under the guidance of the Manager-Systems Engineer, you will be supported and developed in order to maximize your potential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:

• To manage the lifecycle of all Incidents, Events and Service Requests
• Procurement (create purchase orders and/or purchase order requests)
• Installation and deployment (imaging clients, installation of software, assign to user)
• Support (hardware, software, peripherals)
• Dispose hardware and peripherals correctly according to NOV policy
• (Mobile) phone support, including administration of subscriptions
• Backup and restore activities
• Print and output management
• Routine maintenance
• Correct administration of assets
• Maintain local server room environment (power, cooling, measures to restrict unauthorized access, environmental monitoring)
• Physical implementation of infrastructure components (servers, UPS, routers, switches, racks)
• Patching and cable management

Qualifications:

  • BEng in a Computer Science or related subject or equivalent

Experience:

  • Graduate level

Skills, training or special knowledge

  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficient in spoken and written Technical Business English
