On behalf of Thomas Cook ( ), Ciklum is looking for QA Manager to join Kyiv team on full-time basis.

You will be part of a digital technology team involved in designing and building large scale Java and JavaScript applications that scale to millions of customers, billions of pounds in revenue and thousands of requests per millisecond. The QA Manager will manage a team up to 20 testers, with dedicated QA Tech Leads and QA Product Area Owners, including engineers allocated across several Scrum teams. The QA Manager role is responsible for planning and conducting a wide range of testing functions to ensure that all applications and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. Lead the QA teams with innovative testing techniques and automated testing procedures to ensure the most efficient and cost effective use of test effort. Close collaboration with Test Leads in other parts of the QA organization will be required as well as collaboration with business and project stakeholders to be aligned with the common plans and investigate problems and recommend solutions to ensure project and testing timelines are met.

  • Work with a personal responsibility, adding value to all test activities as well as other activities in the teams in order to deliver qualitative software as efficiently as possible
  • Coordinate QA activities across different teams and make sure that all QAs are aligned to strategic business goals
  • Responsible for the scheduling and management of resources to fulfil the demand for the effective delivery of testing function through all environments
  • Monitor these resources against the known demand, manage and escalate the need for any additional or reduce capacity
  • Motivate and inspire Test Team members to deliver to the best of their ability within the project and test timescales
  • Define and report to management on quality and other project metrics/trends
  • Ensure the quality of all products released are to a standard agreed and accepted by key stakeholders
  • Actively contribute and drive the on-going improvement of the development, DevOps, manual and automation testing process, knowledge, quality and best practice
  • Maintain good visibility and communication of all activities with key stakeholders
  • Ensure key issues detected are appropriately documented, flagged, communicated and handed over to the appropriate function to resolve in a timely manner
  • Support releases into all environments including production


  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Work experience with multiple teams running in an Agile environment
  • Evidence delivering value for the business through rendering and leading testing function
  • Test management and leading experience (team size: 10+ specialists)
  • Strong agile knowledge: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, TDD, BDD, CD, CI
  • Strong knowledge of software testing theory and practice
  • Advanced QA planning, monitoring and reporting skills
  • Deep understanding of development processes, approaches, infrastructure and tools
  • Ability to set up flexible QA processes from scratch with quality KPIs defined
  • Ability to work in conditions of uncertainty and to adjust testing strategy/planning based on fast changing business priorities and project situation
  • Non-functional and technical testing experience (e.g. unit, integration, security, performance, api-testing, logs-analysis, SQL, Fiddler, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience of Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver
