Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading New Product Development within Beer and Near Beer category. Scope if innovations: new product within new brand development (2-3 annually); tailor made offers for different channels and customers (10-15 annually)
    • A. Ideation stage
      • Analysis of the portfolio gaps, insights, opportunities and market trends in cooperation with Insights team
      • NPD ideation workshop organization
      • Support of Innovation directions development
      • Support of Innovation pipeline development
    • B. Concept and product development stage for the assigned projects incl.
      • Analysis of Consumer insights and technical capability
      • Propose Qual & quant research
      • Lead Technical feasibility incl. liquid and package development for the assigned projects
    • C. New product launch stage for the assigned projects
      • Running budgeting process; Finance KPIs incl. P&L, business goals setting; pricing – all in cooperation with respective functions;
      • Brief creative/packaging/BTL agencies for the brand/packaging/launch support development
      • Lead Strategy & Activity planning for the assigned projects
      • Launch support in modern and tradition trade channels incl. activation, POSM development and listing
    • D. Evaluation stage of the assigned projects
      • Launch evaluation after 6 and 12 months
  • Innovation process facilitating
    • Day-to-day management and improvement if needed of the Innovation Gate process for the business, including the monthly set up of Innovation Gate Councils, coordination of timely Gate Presentations and project status submissions, meeting summaries preparation and distribution, Gate documentation and approved meeting summaries archiving. Facilitate Innovation Gate Council meetings when necessary
    • Cross functional alignment meeting before Innovation Gate Council facilitating. (Technical, procurement, demand planning, operational planning, quality, legal teams)
  • Cross functional projects lead & support
    • A. Lead
      • Marketing – technical CAPEX estimation
    • B. Support
      • Portfolio optimization incl. delisting
      • COGS optimization projects
      • Brand technical footprint project to identify product requirements and technical ranges for all key brands in the portolio. Lead collaboration of marketing and technical dep-ts.
  • Innovation expertise
    • Coordinate multi-brand innovation projects on existing brands (re-design & line extensions; technical improvement) for both Brand and Trade Marketing as per necessity
    • Accumulate Packaging & liquid expertise. Regularly update the teams with most-up-to-date approaches and innovations in packaging and liquids, incl. suppliers’ capabilities
    • Support brand teams on innovation-related questions through strategy & activity planning sessions
    • Support product-related trainings like Beer appreciation among marketing teams


  • Previous experience in Brand marketing/Insights of minimum 3 years
  • Understanding of and experience of working within a commercial business process within a multi-national FMCG company
  • Understanding of the company business strategy and competitive environment
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven ability to work with various teams both within the function and cross functionally
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Initiative and strong follow-through
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail
