Role Overview:
The Leader of the Medical Devices Supply Chain – Russia/CIS is a critical leadership position responsible for the development and execution of the local End-to-End Supply Chain Strategy and activities across all operational areas including planning, supply, warehousing/logistics, orthokit operations and customer service. With expertise in end-to-end supply chain processes, this individual leads and coordinates cross-functional initiatives to improve customer outcomes and directly manages integrated demand and supply planning for Medical Devices for the geography. This individual is a member of the Russia/CIS Medical Devices Leadership Team and is the single point of contact for the country Managing Director and Commercial Leadership Team for all supply chain matters – end-to-end - to support achievement of aligned business goals and objectives.
This individual will be a member of the MDSC Cluster Leadership Team and reports directly into the MDSC Director for the Emerging Markets cluster. This individual will work in a highly dynamic and international environment with multiple connections within and outside the country and across different levels of management with high exposure.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes a fully integrated Supply Chain Strategy, which supports the EMEA Strategic Plan and local Business Goals, in alignment with the 3 franchises: Ethicon, CSS, Depuy-Synthes.
- Single point of contact for the Russia/CIS Managing Director and Leadership team for the E2E Supply Chain across planning, supply, warehousing/logistics, Ortho-kit operations and customer service.
- Direct responsibility for the following Supply Chain functions – Planning / S&OP, Supply execution, Inventory management, Ortho-kit operations.
- Coordinates closely with Deliver organization for Warehousing / Transportation and Customer service.
- Responsible for setting and communicating E2E Supply Chain performance goals (quality, service, inventory, on time launch, etc), monitoring the performance and lead the continuous improvement process and action plans across all supply chain functions to reach the goals.
- Lead and facilitate (i) Monthly local S&OP processes, ensuring that sales and marketing events & market intelligence are correctly captured and passed on to the Regional & Global planning teams to ensure on-time right product availability (ii) Service review meetings (STEM & PAC) for service risks and define mitigation actions to minimize impact to our end customers.
- Build solid partnership and end-to-end collaboration with key stakeholders - commercial organizations, local and regional supply chain organizations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, etc. – to ensure their contribution is focused on the End-to-End goals and respective outcomes.
- To keep the customer at the center of everything we do and translate the voice of customer in SC strategic and tactical action plan in partnership with the other relevant functions.
- Ensure supply chain readiness in support of NPI & LCM projects.
- Own the talent development agenda, build a high performing team and create right opportunities to develop your team of supply chain professionals.
Qualifications and key competencies:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 12 - 15 years’ experience in a complex Supply Chain environment and a proven leadership track record in at least 2 of the following functional areas: manufacturing, planning, distribution, customer service and quality.
- Experience in previous leadership position and management of senior stakeholders in an international environment is a must
- Experience in healthcare / regulatory dependent sector is desirable.
- Project management skills, with the ability to drive change and influence decision-making through multiple levels (middle to senior management) of the organization is a plus
