Administration\HR Manager

Administer all compliance, HR, tax, accounting and office-related issues facing a small office in Astana, with a focus on superior customer service and cost-effective management. Specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Work with the firm’s management to design a support services strategy, set priorities and manage communications with Kazakh institutions  
  • Manage ongoing relationships with external vendors and outsourcing providers, including contract negotiation and supervision
  • Maintain the premises, including supervising external contractors, vendors and suppliers, and monitoring compliance with contractual conditions
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of all support functions
  • Lead recruiting, development, deployment, coaching, and evaluation of team members
  • Create budgets for relevant functions and monitor/manage expenditures
  • Contribute to office and Firm initiatives as appropriate
  • Cooperate with colleagues in other offices to ensure seamless delivery of service

The successful candidate will have:

  • Sound knowledge of the HR/Tax/Accounting regulatory policies in Kazakhstan; experience in communicating with Kazakh institutions
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven experience of effective vendor and supplier management
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships and network within and outside the firm
  • High degree of flexibility, cooperative attitude, ability to work on teams
  • High level of responsibility and service orientation
  • Self-motivation, ability to drive tasks and projects to completion, ability to manage others
  • Good knowledge of the local civil law, tax law and office procurement will be an advantage
