Innopolis University is opening a new educational Master program in Game Development. The “Interactive Narrative” course within this program is an interdisciplinary course, therefore, we are looking for a candidate having a degree and/or experience in domains such as Computer Science, Game Development, History, Design, Art, Business, Society, and Sustainability. The language of instruction is English. We are looking for the candidates who will equip students to discover the impact of games on society and who will be able to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Design and teach the course covering the following and similar topics:
  1. Discussion and development of storylines and characters to support game mechanics and story;
  2. Scripts in-game dialogues to help tell the story of the game;
  3. Creation of storyboards to help visualize the flow of the game;
  4. Creation of character profiles, bios, and sketches to help define the nature of characters in the game;
• Design the “Interactive Narrative” syllabus according to the needs of the program and the students;
• Incorporate various elements in teaching such as project-based learning, active discussions, role play, cases, etc.;
• Design metrics to evaluate the progress of students and grade students’ progress.

Qualifications and requirements

• Technical or humanitarian background, i.e., degree related to Computer Science, Game Development, History, Design, Art, Business, Society and Sustainability;
• Excellent command of storytelling and interactive narrative;
• English language proficiency sufficient to teach an academic course;
• Experience of teaching young adults;
• Interest in educating the young generation.
