Our subsidiary Food Security Solutions, an international fertilizers trading company, is looking for a Chief Accountant in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Responsibilities:

1. Internal reporting:

a) All in-house accounting service – posting transactions, payments in bank etc.

b) Preparation of stand-alone reporting packages for HQ prepared in line with IFRS requirements on a monthly basis

c) Control and overview of stand-alone reporting packages prepared on a monthly basis

d) Control over tax matters (tax returns etc.)

e) Assistance in Group audit (information collection and preparations) on a bi-annual basis

f) Cooperation with various HQ departments on provision of information

g) Participation in budget campaign (data collection from entities, consolidation, preparation data for management review) on an annual basis

h) Cooperation with IT team on accounting system developments and improvements (initiation, task descriptions, review and testing of IT developments) on a daily basis or upon requests

2. External reporting:

a) Preparation of annual financial statements in line with local US requirements

b) Support on accounting judgments in communication with auditors

3. Other business related tasks:

a) Requests from management on various financial data preparation (financial registers, Cash flow statements, presentations)

b) Consultations on specific or unusual transactions accounting posting

Requirements:

a) Education – high degree in Accounting or Finance

b) IFRS, US GAAP – good knowledge of standards (ACCA, ACA, CPA or in process)

c) Knowledge of whole accounting process in goods distribution business

d) Experience in ERP systems – above 5 years

e) Work experience – above 5 years in accounting or reporting teams; ability to work independently and cover various areas in reporting
